Sunday evening at Scopazzi's, the SLV Chamber of Commerce held its annual awards banquet. The restaurant was filled to capacity! The organization recognized the SLV Rotary Club as "Community Organization of the Year" with certificates from Mark Stone, Bill Monning and Bruce McPherson. Steve Edmonds and Beth Hollenbeck presided.

The a capella group Gold Standard Quartet provided a pleasant musical interlude for the attendees. Our past-president and current Area 7 AG, Karen McNamara accepted the certificates for the club. SLV USD Superintendent Laurie Bruton along with SLV USD Board member George Wylie presented the Educator Award to teacher Rob Lahey. Beth also recognized several past Men & Women of the Year: Bud Tomlinson, Nancy Macy, Nick Pagnini, Annette Marcum, Robin Musitelli.
