Guest Speaker: Linda Skeff, member of VWC and founder of the VWC Restoration Program
Linda was an oncology nurse with an intense interest in organic gardening and native habitat. She moved to SLV in 2003 and began the restoration of 3 acres of mixed evergreen forest. Her obsession with gardening inspired her to work for over 8 years to remove non-native plants from this area. Along with the Valley Women’s Club, Linda is expanding her work of removing invasive plants from several areas including: Highlands, Garrahan Park, Odd Fellow Cemetery, Quail Hollow, Junction Park, and Roaring Camp. She is reaching out to find volunteers for various projects. They are creating a website to help people understand what needs to be done to save this unique area. If everyone does a little, it will ultimately save the plants and animals in our area.
Linda asked if the Club would be willing to do something to help the watershed.

Detective: Judy had answers that included: Craig McTravis (remember him?), Madison, larger that a beak, Bogus, 8 min 20 sec, CA King, 24, 88, Vitamin C (wrong but funny), and intelligence – close enough!! Judy is tough!!

Drawing: Poor Linda—Joe pulled the  7 of spades when she was out of the room.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:40
