Club Assembly announcements:
 
-Karen thanked the club for their attendance at the District Conference
-Karen recognized Mike for his work with the successful Rise Against Hunger event
-Reminder of the SLV Rotary social on Monday May 22nd at Casa Nostra at 6 PM
-Karen announced a community service project this Saturday from 3:30 to 5:30 at the Scotts Valley Post Office to help Stamp Out Hunger.  See Karen fro details.
 
Mike presented Eric Hammer with his Paul Harris Fellow
 
Ralph spoke about the Felton Library Friends benefit Saturday May 20th from 12 – 4 PM to raise funds for the new library.
 
Laurie told us that at the next school board meeting on May 17th at 6PM at Quail Hollow, the SLV Rotary club will be honored for their commitment to the SLV Youth and all members are invite to attend.
 
Ken spoke about the SLV Rotary budget and the new structure that will reflect how the money is spent by avenues of service.
 
Ken spoke about the Redwood Mountain Faire volunteer assignments.
 
Judy reminded folks about the Felton Fire Auxiliary Mother’s Day Pancake Breakfast this Sunday morning.
 
Mary reminded us that she and Linda will be walking in the Human Race this Saturday and pledges would be appreciated.
 
Karen was Detective with challenging trivia and then we had Happy Bucks
 
Eric announced that the SLVWD rate hearings are taking place and it would be good to attend to have your opinion hear as they are in the process of determining future water rates.
 
Save the date!  Monday August 21st will be the New Teacher Breakfast and the meeting would go dark that week.
 
Raffle $5 won by Don but he didn’t pull the joker.
 
Karen had several other raffle prizes of Rotary sunglasses to give away.
