President Karen opened the meeting with the flag salute, introductions and Thought for the Day.

President Karen opened the meeting with the flag salute, introductions and Thought for the Day.
 
Announcements: Rise Against Hunger (Stop Hunger Now) is happening on Saturday, Apr. 29. Set-up at 7:30 am and food packing starts at 9:00. Mt. Parks Foundation has a fundraiser on Tuesday, Mar 14 at the Shadowbrook. Please mention Mt. Parks when you make your reservations. Speech Contest is being held at the Seascape Club at noon on Mar 16. Let Karen know if you would like to attend.
 
Karen told us about PETS. There is a new Governor elect and his goal is that every Rotarian plants a tree this year. Karen said she had a great weekend but is happy to be home! She has lots of good ideas for next year. Ralph said they interviewed our RYLA candidate yesterday. They were very impressed and she will come to breakfast both before and after her leadership experience.
 
Assembly:
  • Duty roster – we will add Interact to next year’s duty roster
  • Give Mike ideas for new speakers (Larry Donatelle)
  • 4th of July – we will have a party after the parade at Joe and Linda’s
  • We are going to sign up for both parades. We could help with the traffic at the BC parade. Check with Eric
  • We are on for the Redwood Mt Fair. It is scheduled for the first weekend in June
  • No breakfast option – coffee option $5?? Karen will talk to Mario
 
Detective: Linda took some of us back to our childhood (others to their parents’ childhood) and quizzed us on pop music.
 
Drawing: Larry drew Mary’s number but she did not find the joker!!
 
The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 am
