Our surprise substitute speaker today was Cameron Haste.  He presented a nice set of photos from his recent trip to Tonga, working off his list of the "least visited countries in the world."  The slide that I happened to capture here is where he explains how he figured out how to eat a meal without utensils.

-Karen had announcements:
  • Thank you to Scott and Tammie for hosting a lovely social last evening
  • Karen read a letter from Gil Gunn who sent a $98 check to SLV Rotary for his 98th birthday.
  • Karen will be working with Cameron to update the SLV Rotary roster.
  • Reminder for upcoming Avenues of Service
  • Harvest Festival volunteer sign up for Saturday’s fundraising event.  Janet will email the schedule to the volunteers.
 
-Tammie was detective, filling in for Franziska, with trivia of the SF area.
-Mike had a Foundation minute and passed out the Foundation Pledge cards.
 
-The speaker was Cameron who told us about his trip to Tonga.
 
-Tammie’s number was called in the raffle but with 4 cards left she didn’t pick the Joker.  The pot will be over $700 next week.
 
-Karen rang the bell with our motto Service Above Self
