Governor’s visit: Tim Lundell, District Governor

Born and raised in Portland, Tim came to CA in 1972 to attend law school at Santa Clara University. Community service has been a large part of Tim’s life. He joined the newly chartered Los Gatos Morning Rotary in 2004. Tim has served as assistant governor, lieutenant governor, district conference chair, annual giving chair, and three years as a district trainer.

Governor Tim is leading District 5170, and rather than having a theme, he is learning about rotary and how to grow clubs and membership. New and returning learning opportunities are an important part of his year. The second component of his year is leadership—he reminded us that every Rotarian is a leader. At the international assembly, Tim was introduced to be the Inspiration. Together these three ideas: learning, leading and inspiring would be the focus of his year as Governor. Tim asked our club to be a leader in our community and ask others to join us in making the world a better place. He ended his presentation with a snappy video about the annual conference.

Governor Tim passed out pins to 12 double sustainers.
Rotarians asked questions about the upcoming year.
The Leadership Academy is 9 months and there will also be a Leadership Conference on Dec 15 at the Los Gatos Lodge.

Detective: Heather gave us a run for our money with animated cartoon characters.

Drawing: We have over $250 in the pot and Ed left it for someone else!!

The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 a.m.
