We hosted two visiting Rotarians today - Michele Robins from Moraga and Robin Wells from Tehachapi (a great fan of the Dodgers).  Today's speaker was our own Carol Miller who updated her Blue Badge biography talk for the club.

Members in attendance: Judy, Don, Laurie, Janet, Linda, Joe, Julie, Eric, Cameron, Mike, Heather, Ken, Karen, Carol, Brenda, Bill, Charlie, Ralph, Franziska, and Sue. Guests: Michele Robbins, Moraga and Robin Wells from Tehachapi.

President Karen opened the meeting with the flag salute, introductions and Thought for the Day.
 
Announcements: Monday night is the October 1 is the annual Barrel Wrap; October 8 is the Lobster Feed and October 22 is MCRs Dinner and Auction.
 
Guest Speaker: Carole Miller, Member Extraordinaire
Carole was born on a fruit ranch in Solano County. Carole majored in elementary education at Chico State. She married Roger in 1956 and together they had 3 children. Her first job was a pre-kindergarten teacher and they made their home is South San Francisco. Together, Carole and Roger spent 13 summers at Big Basin State Park. Carole was an adult girl scout for 25 years, learned to a ride a bike at 38 and was a square dancer! She worked very hard to fundraise for the new Felton Hall. She has been treasurer for Felton Hall for many years. She has been involved in Mt. Parks for 22 years, and during tough financial times, she successfully managed to keep the store open. Carole loves living in the Valley and deeply appreciates her Rotary Family. Carole is going to walk for Alzheimer in September.
