Today we heard from our RYLA camper Kayla on her experiences.

Rotary Meeting
 
-Karen rang the bell to start the meeting
-Scott Deal led us in the pledge
-Carol had our Thought for the Day
-Karen had lots of announcements:
  • August 5th -Park Hall cleanup service project- Karen will resend the link to sign up. 
  • August 11th – The social at the Deal’s will need to be rescheduled but Karen will host a dinner at her house on August 11th
  • Day Out with Thomas forms were handed out again.  This is a club fundraiser and if you can’t participate you will need to donate $50 to the club.
  • August 19th – District Membership Seminar at Castlewood Country Club in Pleasanton.
  • October 5th – Rotary Avenues of Service at the Biltmore in Santa Clara
  • October 7th – Second Harvest Barrel Wrap
 
-Karen reminded members that they have received their invoices for dues and to please pay Ken.
 
-Karen announced that Cameron will be unable to be President Elect for next year and that Linda Fawcett will be the new President Elect for 2018.  The club voted by show of hands in support of Linda as President Elect.
 
-Kayla, our RYLA attendee, spoke about her experience at RYLA
 
-Heather was Detective and challenged us with “weird” trivia.
 
-Don’s number was pulled but he didn’t pick the joker.
 
-Karen rang the bell to end the meeting.
