Distinguished visitors today included District Governor Susan Valenta, PDG Ron Sekkel and SLV past-president Priscilla Weiss.
Mike inducted Ralph Miljanich to the club and Governor Valenta presented the club with the Rotary President's Presidential Citation Award.

Club Assembly
Members in attendance: Judy, Don, Laurie, Janet, Linda, Joe, Gil, Julie, Eric, Mary, Cameron, Heather, Mike, Ken, Karen, Carol, Sue, Thomas, Brenda, Bill and Ralph. Guests: Chris Sheehy and Jillian Rose Mounts.
Visiting Rotarians- Priscilla Weiss, District Governor Susan Valente, Past President & PDG Ron Seckel.
President Mike opened the meeting with the flag salute, the Four Way Test, introductions and Thought for the Day.
President Mike led the induction of Ralph Miljanich as a new member. Ralph has an impressive background in service above self. He was both a member and a past president of the Watsonville Rotary Club.
Announcements: 4th of July Parade is coming up. Mike’s De-Bunking will follow the parade at Joe and Mary Hammer’s house.
Detective: Cameron tested our knowledge of the human body. Answers included: fingernails, Monday, sleep, 2 minutes, and mummies. Sorry Charlie, you had to be there!
Happy Bucks: Many great stories of gratitude and happiness!
Guest Speaker: District Governor, Susan Valente
Governor Susan reflected on her past year and then presented the Rotary Club of SLV with the Gold Level Presidential Citation. Governor Susan said only four clubs in the district received this distinction.
Assembly
- Casa Nostra does not include a minimum for breakfast but we do need to know if you are not attending. Please let Mike know if you plan on missing a meeting. Short discussion about our venue in the fall.
- Ken led the debriefing of the Redwood Mt. Fair. Ken said it went smoothly and he will continue to be the point person on this. He is planning on eliminating a few volunteer slots on Saturday and Sunday evening. We plan on continuing the coffee service but hope to locate it near the front of the stage. Eric said they are trying to get vendors to load out on Monday rather than Sunday night. Ken has the lost and found at his house.
