Special guests Kristin and Katelyn Praley presented Katelyn's plans to participate in Rotary's Youth Exchange Program.  Katelyn will be travelling and staying in Brazil with a family this year and they are looking for a family to host a Rotary Exchange student in the SLV.

Then our own member Cameron Haste, fearless arctic explorer, dazzled the group with his pictures from he and his family's recent trip to the Arctic, Lapland, actually, including the Ice Hotel in Kiruna, far north Finland!  Another town they visited was Kangos.  We have one of his photos here of the Aurora they witnessed.

Happy Bucks: no time

Guest Speaker: Cameron took his youngest son on a trip to the Lapland’s -- two and a half hours above the Arctic Circle. They started their trip at the Ice Hotel - a hotel that is created from ice and designed by different artists. Beautiful! They stayed at a guesthouse in Kangos – a town of 275 people. Cameron experimented with his camera to capture the Northern lights, midnight sun, reindeer farms and incredible scenery. Their favorite mode of transportation was a snow mobile—although dogsledding was a close second! Fantastic trip!! They hope to return in the summer so they can see the area without  snow.

Drawing: Sorry Mary!

The meeting was adjourned at 8:45.
