Today's speaker was Chris Hennessy presenting his video Touched by Hannah.  We also hosted District 5170 DG Jeff Orth for the presentation of the year's laptop computer to a Boulder Creek Elementary student.  Along with DG Orth, Bob Gretch of the District computer grant program was here to give the laptop to 5th grader Billy Eaton.  Before we got underwas, Karen presented our Casa Nostra host Mario with new-baby gifts from the club.

Guest Speaker: Chris Hennessy is a documentarian, Author of Touched by Hannah and a Motivational Speaker.
Chris encouraged the club to never give up. He shared the story of his track days, his fight with cancer and the early delivery of his daughter, Hannah. AT the hospital, he gave his wife his first motivational speech and told her to be strong—Hannah would be fine. Hannah was delivered at 26 weeks and weighed less than 2 pounds. During this time, Chris was driven to keep it light, to help people laugh, to be himself. He would spend hours each night holding her small hand in her incubator. Chris said it was the worst time of his life and yet some of the best nights of his life. After three months, she was taken off the respirator. In 2009, Hannah was the sickest child in Silicon Valley; today Hannah is a healthy 7 year-old. Chris’s book about Hannah will be on sale soon!
