Meeting 3/20/2019

Ken updated the group on the End Polio Flash campaign and presented another of the 2 minute Rotary videos.  Ron Sekkel spent a few minutes in support of the Flash Campaign recounting some personal experiences he has had with friends and acquaintances over the years with polio.  We are asking that each member contribute $50 to the campaign.

The speakers today were Laurie Bruton and Chris Schiermeyer of the SLV Unified School District.  They reviewed the proposal for converting the Redwood Elementart School campus to SLV USD teacher housing.  All over the county and most coastal counties of California retaining teachers is an issue with the high cost of housing.  This should contribute to helping with that problem.
