One of the announcements from Linda was that our member Assistant Governor Karen McNamara had received the District 5170 Karl Stucki award at the PETS conference over the weekend. This is named for the PDG Karl Stucki and is awarded each year to the Rotarian in the District who "best exemplifies Rotary ideals".

President Linda opened the meeting with Rotary’s Four Way Test, introductions, and the Thought for the Day.

April 6 SJ conference (all day)- district speech contest
April 14 Lacy J Dalton Concert – we added a new sponsor this week- See Seeger. Don’t forget to buy your tickets!
May 17 – 19 USS Hornet Rotary Conference

Assembly:
- Bob gave a summary of PETS
- Charlie led us in song that we will sing at the Lacy J Dalton concert
- End Polio Now- $50 per member joins a 2 to 1 match for the Gates Foundation. SLV Rotary has pledged $500.
- The club needs a computer—HDMI port, software, Microsoft PP, Windows 10 (Windows 7 at a minimum)- shouldn’t be more than 4 years old
- RYLA- Ralph presented to 25 students. Ralph needs some help on Mar 27 looking at applications. Two weeks later they will do interviews.
- Lacy J Dalton Concert- still collecting sponsorships (3/31), raffle prizes and don’t forget to buy your 4 tickets!
- Highland Park Tuesday or Thursday at 11:30 am to delivery Meals on Wheels. Let Linda know if you want to come.
- Thursday night Rotary Meetings at Scopazzi Restaurant 6:15pm-7:30pm- Rotarian’s are encouraged to order an appetizer to share at your table.
- Family memberships- waive the initiation fee.
- Rotary Dues- currently $200 a year. We have not been keeping up with the increases so our dues may be going up. Karen is working on this.
