District 5170 includes 53 clubs in 4 counties and we are divided into 9 areas. We are a growing district and have the largest Interact Club in the world. Susan spoke about her core belief that Rotarians are the ones who will change the course of humanity. Since 2005, over 1000 children have had the cleft palate surgeries. She honored the work of local Rotarians for their contributions including: 1700 children who received eye exams; the drilling of wells around the world; the eradication of polio; and the delivery of wheel chairs.

She recognized the Rotary Club of SLV for the following: dictionary distribution, painting of fire hydrants, shopping spree, Interact Club, Felton clean-up, scholarships, RYLA, annual speech contest, new welcome signs, food drive, vocation appreciation awards, and the collection of socks for MCR.

Our District has just collected $115,000 to make another distribution of wheel chairs in Monterey, Mexico. Governor Susan invited all of us to attend the conference in April. As she demonstrated, Simple Acts can become Bold Acts and Rotarians make it happen

President Mike presented the Governor with a check for $500 to add to the wheelchair project.

Drawing: Our guest, Francine but did not find the joker!

The meeting was adjourned at 8:30.
