 The Christmas Holiday Shop event was the main topic today.  Big fun all around.

Meeting minutes
12-14-16
 
-Karen rang the bell
-Brenda led us in the Pledge
-Carol had the Thought for the Day
-Holiday shop review
  • Janet gave the award to the team closest to $100 to Carol Miller
  • The club voted to make a $50 donation to Felton Presbyterian Church for the use of their facility
  • Shared a thank you note from one of the kid’s mothers
-Karen announcements:
  • Holiday party on Friday the 16th at Joe and Linda’s house
  • Fundraiser at the party will be for Comunidad
  • Area Speech contest March 23rd
 
-Mike Foundation minute about the Annual Fund
-Mary was detective.  Getting to know your neighbor guessing when you arrived in SLV
-Karen put on her Santa hat and gave out gifts
-Linda and Cameron handed out piggy banks for Meals on Wheels fundraiser
-Club held an acclimation vote of the slate of candidates for the next Rotary year.  Cameron will be President Elect on July 1st

-Stop Hunger Now event Saturday,  February 25th   time not yet decided
 
-Last SLV Rotary meeting of the year, next meeting  January 4th
 
-Rotary International Convention in June in Atlanta
 
-Raffle  Steve won the raffle but didn’t pull the Joker.
 
-Meeting adjourned with our motto Service Above Self
