Today was December Club Assembly. Main topics were Homeless Service Center project and the Redwood Mountain Faire.
SLV Rotary meeting notes

-Karen rang the bell to start the meeting
-Mike led us in the pledge and Ralph had the Thought for the Day
-Announcements:
- Joe Griffin’s father has passed away and our thoughts are with Joe & Linda
- Karen announced that the party this Friday at 6 PM will now be hosted at her house:

Rotarians are asked to bring a salad or dessert.
- The SLV annual holiday donation will be to provide the costs for a camper at Easter Seals camp at Camp Harmon. Please make out your check to Easter Seals.
- Children’s Holiday Shop was a lot of fun and the top shopping team was Brenda Holmes and Jaye Cerruti. Their total was exactly $100.
- Karen presented each Rotarian a gift for the holiday
- Heather was detective and challenged us with holiday movies and songs
- Mike reported on the Homeless Service Center area project
-The tentative date is a Saturday in February
-The club was interested in the painting/staining projects
-Involve the Interact and Rotaract members
- Ken reported on the Redwood Mountain Faire
-SLV Rotary will be continue the Internal Traffic Control job and may be adding the Parking job as well.
-Janet and Mike will be meeting with Hallie on Monday, December 18th at 12:00 to find out more details about the parking job.
-The club reported being willing to volunteer extra shifts to cover both jobs.
-Rotarians are asked to save the RMF dates of May 31, June 1, 2 and 3rd to be able to volunteer.
-The club decided not to have an information booth at the RMF.
-Janet will look into the cost of adding SLV ROTARY to the back of our safety vests to increase our club’s visibility in the public.
- Karen reminded us that this would be the last meeting for December. No meeting on December 20th and 27th. Next meeting January 3rd.
- January Rotary social will be January 22nd at Boulder Creek Pizza & Pub
- Judy won the raffle but didn’t pull the Joker.
- Karen ended the meeting with our motto Service Above Self.
