Two speakers today, Jeff Calden, SLV High Principal and Chris Schiermeyer SLV USD Superintendent. Member Jeff gave his Red/Blue badge autographical talk about himself to the group: he went to SLV Schools, then San Diego State to major in English; teacher over the hill in Cupertino, then SLV High; SLV High football coach 1992 - 2020; now principal. He confessed to being a comics and sports card collector to the present!
Then Superintendent Chris Schiermeyer gave the club an overview of where we're spending the Measure S bond funds that were approved several years ago. Among the projects: swimming pool refurbishment, new bus lanes at the High school, new cafeteria freezer for the tri-campus, music room, extensive roof repairs, drama room,... the list goes on.
