Today we had our own Bob Frobish narrate a few of the pictures he and Cindy made on their recent Rhine River cruise.  He also included a couple of photos of long-time member Carol Miller who was being honored later that day by the Community Volunteer Center for her wonderful volunteerism with Mountain Parks Foundation, Felton Community Center and others.  The group recognized Carol for her tireless efforts.

Guest speaker: Bob Frobish

Bob shared pictures from his Viking riverboat trip on the Rhine. The trip started in Basel and ended in Amsterdam. They visited the Black Forest and had a demonstration on how to bake a Black Forest cake—not too sweet. The boat stopped at many castles, fortresses and cathedrals. Bob said floating down the river they saw many scenic cities and towns. Most of the breakfasts and dinners were on the boat and lunches were out. They had a bit of entertainment on the boat. After the cruise they went to Scotland including Loch Ness.

Low and behold, right in the middle of Bob’s trip -- were slides of Carol Miller, Volunteer of the Year in Santa Cruz County! Lots of friends shared stories and sweet memories of Carol. Carol is very much deserving of this award and is obviously held in very high regard by her fellow Rotarians. Thank you, Carol!!

Detective: Eskimos, German vocabulary, witches and warlocks, Olympics and religion—this week was definitely harder! Thanks Cameron.

Drawing: Wild Joe left the joker for another day!

The meeting was adjourned at 8:29 a.m.
