Members in attendance: Judy, Joe, Don, Janet, Julie, Mary, Joe, Cameron, Mike, Charlie, Karen, Ralph, Carol, Scott W, Bob, Jessica, and Laurie.  Guests: Julie Grant
 
President Karen opened the meeting with the flag salute, introductions and Thought for the Day.
 
Assembly
  • Scott shared that there is a fundraiser at the Heavenly Roadside Café on Jan 20th.
  • Bring socks, hats, and gloves in 2 weeks. MCR will be here to accept.
  • Susan True will be here next week from the Santa Cruz Community Foundation. We hope to have time for an interactive session.
  • Continue to bring coins for Polio

  • The club approved the slate of proposed officers for 2018. Scott shared a film he produced that highlighted Rotary events—great job!
  • Jan 22 BC Pizza social and thank you from BC Business Association thank you. 6:00 pm
  • Feb 14 Speech contest here at 7:30 am
  • Don’t forget to pay your dues
  • Thank you, Mario, for paying for everyone’s breakfast!
 
Detective: Julie quizzed the club on New Year’s traditions
 
Drawing: Mary’s ticket was drawn 3 weeks in a row but she can’t find that joker!
