Kellie Rice was our speaker earlier this year talking about how to get your book published. This time during the Christmas Holidays she related various legends and fables surrounding the celebration of Christmas and other holidays and festivals at the height of winter season. She herself enjoys writing fantasy fiction and uses these legends as bases for her stories. Kellie also "dives deep" into non-fiction subjects.

Keith Collins & Charlie Brown

Keith Collins is the Veterans Village Director of Programming & Operations. He was the speaker today along with Charlie Brown the Onsite Manager for the organization. It's been a year since we heard from Keith and the Veterans Village is up and running. The next big objective is to utilize the Santa Cruz County Grant recently awarded them for several refurbishment projects to modernize the property. They are particularly focused on issues around septic, housing and educational initiatives. They expect to be busy with these throughout 2024.
