Built in 1893, the Faye G. Belardi Memorial Library in Felton was still a Presbyterian Church when the photo above was taken in the 1930s or 1940s. The building was purchased by Nick and Faye Belardi in 1955 after the church moved. Mr. Belardi donated it for use as a library following the untimely death of his wife in August, 1955. The library opened the following year. Now it will become exhibit space for the SLV Historical Society.
On Saturday, June 27, this group of eight SLV Rotarians worked to clean and wash the walls and other surfaces in preparation for painting.
