-Karen rang the bell to start the meeting
 
-Steve led us in the pledge
 
-Carol had the Thought for the Day
 
-Karen read a thank you note to the club from Justin Acton, the BCBA President, for the SLV Rotary help with the July 4th Parade.
 
-Karen also read a letter from Jeff Orth, the past DG, thanking the SLV Rotary for being such a great club.
 
Announcements:
  • August 5th service project at the Ben Lomond Park Hall.  Please sign up online or on the sign up sheet.
  • Roaring Camp will not be making individual calls to work Thomas the Train for this weekend.  If you signed up for this Friday, Saturday or Sunday please show up at 9 AM at the ticket office for your assignment.  If you are not planning on working at Thomas, please pay Ken $50 to SLV Rotary.
  • August 1st from 6-8 PM is the Boulder Creek National Night Out event and the SLV Rotary has been invited to set up an information table.  Karen and Brenda have volunteered to attend.
  • Reminder that dues are due.  Please pay Ken
  • August 21st is the New Teacher Breakfast.  Sue will pass around a sign up sheet for potluck items.  Carol will pick up the gift cards.
 
-Heather was detective and stumped us with playing card trivia

-Mike announced a Fireside Chat for next week after the regular meeting for Tammie and Scott Webb.
 
-Next week Bill Rush and Teresa Todd will be at the meeting to finalize plans for the BECA trip to Ensenada.
 
-Mike introduced our guest speaker, Susan Goldstein, who talked about the Waldorf Education System
 
-Linda’s number was drawn for $5 but she didn’t pull the Joker.
 
-Karen rang the bell to end the meeting with our motto Service Above Self.
