Today's meeting was a monthly Club Assembly.  Here are some of the highlights from that meeting:

Club Assembly
Last Wednesday morning we had a Club Assembly. Club Assemblies are a chance for group discussion among members to talk about recent the Board meeting and to share ideas. We are alternating the Club Assemblies so the next one is scheduled for Thursday, April 9th.

-Meeting schedule discussion
Members present felt that our current schedule of 2 morning  and 2 evening meetings is working well and agreed to have the Board vote on the meeting schedule at the next Board meeting on Thursday, March 26th at 5:15 PM at Scopazzi's.  It was felt that having a decision made on the meeting schedule by the end of March will allow for pending By-law changes and will also assist the speaker committee with scheduling.
Members are always welcomed to attend Board meetings and are encouraged to attend this Board meeting if you would like to express your opinion.

-Retreat
The members felt having another retreat where all members could attend to discuss club matters, would be beneficial. Charlie Johnson has offered the use of his cabin again in June and we’ll be finalizing a date for folks to save on their calendars.

-Service projects
Janet reported that the Service Project committee that met recently felt that the current level of ongoing and monthly projects is about right.
The Committee felt that the club shouldn’t be actively looking for a large ticket project and that an opportunity would present itself at some point.

-Badges
There was a discussion about the use of the red and blue badges, if we needed an additional badge box for the evening meeting, or to have some sort of adaptation of the gold credit card style badges for the red and blue badge members. There was also a discussion about the blue badge requirements and it was suggested that all of these topics would be a good discussion for the retreat.

Interact Award
SLV High School Interact received an award on Thursday evening from Second Harvest for their volunteer service at the Holiday Gift Wrapping Campaign fundraiser at Capitola Mall. Pictured are Katherine Mccormick, advisor Charlotte Achen and Interact President Kaylo Zubey.
