2020 Rotary Foundation Giving

Our Club Foundation Chair, Bob Frobish, introduces the 2020 TRF Giving season.  "This year I want to focus on EREY, Every Rotarian Every Year. I would like every member to donate at least $25 and for those fortunate enough, a higher donation would be awesome."  
 
If we achieve EREY (100% member participation) our club has the chance of winning a significant monetary prize to be used in our Global Grants! An even larger prize is possible in a second drawing based on the total amount our club gives! In both cases all donations must be made by 12/31/20.
 
No Pledge Cards this year, just three easy ways to give - right now:
  1. Pay by credit card through the Donate button on the SLV Rotary web Home Page, be sure to indicate in the memo field that this is The Rotary Foundation Annual donation and Bob and I will ensure it's linked to you.  Also, please add a little "gross-up" of a couple of bucks to cover our Paypal fees.
  2. Pay by credit card through Rotary Direct.  Go to My.Rotary.org, log in and click on Donate. Be sure to select the "Annual Fund". You must log in for you and our club to receive Paul Harris Fellow credit for your donation. Give your full amount all at once or set yourself up for automatic weekly, monthly, quarterly or annual donations.  Contact Secretary Janet if you have any problems with signing into My Rotary.
  3. Pay by Mail.  If you prefer to make your TRF donation by mail, make your check out to The Rotary Foundation and send it to: Robert Frobish, Rotary Foundation Chair, 245 Meadow Dr, Boulder Creek, CA 95006.
 
 

 

Why We Give and How Much Is Right for Me?

Due to its amazing structure that includes 1.2 million volunteers operating in over 200 countries, TRF is able to direct invaluable help to where it is TRULY needed. The foundation has a 100 year track record of unifying nations through its pursuit of peace, universal education, maternal and child health, disease prevention, water and sanitation provision, economic and community development, and environmental protection.

The Association of Fundraising Professionals named TRF “the most outstanding foundation in the world”. It received a 4-star, 97% rating from Charity Navigator and, astonishingly for a foundation of its size and scope, over 90% of all monies go directly to its recipients.

So your money couldn’t be in better hands, AND, unbelievably, TRF is set up such that approx. 50% of our donations come right back to the club after three years!

No matter which of the above methods you use to give, your gift is tax deductible and it will be acknowledged by The Rotary Foundation

How much should I give?

Every Rotarian is expected to give each year but the amount is up to you.

$100+ makes you a Sustainer

$200+ is the all important Double Sustainer. We hope you can give at least this amount.

$500+ Super Sustainers make us all proud

$1000+ lands you in the exclusive Paul Harris Society.

Even $25 makes a difference. So, give what you can, and give generously if you can!
