Guests: Marro (Linda and Joe’s exchange student from 1999), Eric Hammer, Jen Walker.
 
President Mike opened the meeting with the flag salute, introductions and Thought for the Day.
 
Announcements: Barrel Wrap Update. We are moving back to Mt. Hermon. Club Assembly on Oct. 14. Check of $4,434.65 from the Mountain Fair. The fair brought in about $200,000 this year and distributed $60,000 to local organizations. Mt. Parks Lobster Feed is October 10.Tickets are $75. Mt. Community Resource Center annual event is on October 23—tickets are $50. Call Eric Hammer. Dodgers are Western Division Champs!!

Guest Speaker:  SLV Water District, Brian Lee
The Valley is consuming 75% less water than we did in 2013 - easily making the state’s goal of a 25% reduction. Conservation of water reduces the water district’s revenue by $670,000. On November 19, there is a public hearing to discuss the implementation a drought surcharge of $1 unit. There are several capitol improvement projects currently identified. These projects will average about $2.5 M per year. The District is establishing a yearly CIP financial commitment. Capital improvement projects will be completed based on projected available cash. Three community meetings have already been held with a Cost of Service Study and Rate Study taking place in 2016.
