Rotary meeting
July 29th, 2015
- Mike rang the bell to start the meeting
- Karen led us in the Pledge and 4 Way Test
- Mike introduced the visiting Rotarians and guests
-PDG Ron Sekkel and his wife Cindy (past President of the SLV Rotary)
-John and Jeannie Kegebein (past Presidents of the SLV Rotary)
-John and Marie Sikkora (past Presidents of the SLV Rotary)
-PDG John Fisher
-Gil introduced Marge
- Janet had the Club Trainer information on the Object of Rotary
- Mike had announcements:
-Nigeria has been Polio Free for one year
-he provided handout of upcoming meetings
- Heather had Detective questions about life 75 years ago.
- Happy Bucks
- Ron Sekkel spoke about Gil and Marge
- John Fisher spoke about his memories with Gil
- We all asked questions of Gil and Marge about how they met, how Gil proposed and about their family.
- On behalf of Ken, Mike presented Gil the “Rotarian of the Year” pin for all the help Gil provided to Ken during his year as President.
- Gil and Marge were presented with their gifts of a plant and a gift certificate for dinner at Shadowbrook, with transportation to be provided by Joe and Linda.
- Raffle won by John Fisher, but he didn’t pick the blue marble
- Mike thanked the guests for coming.
- Mike adjourned the meeting with the ringing of the bell and reciting “Service above Self”.
