Minutes of Rotary Club of SLV
July 22, 2015
 
Members in attendance: Thomas, Janet, Don, Mary, Ken, Julie, Heather, Judy, Karen, and Mike. Guest: Eva Tordoff, Mountain Community Resources
Guest Speaker: Bill Holl, Scotts Valley Rotary
 
President Mike opened the meeting with the flag salute, thought for the day, and Judy led the Club in the Four Way Test.
 
Announcements:
  • Heather updated the club on the anniversary celebration for Gil and Marge Gunn.
  • Janet said all members either donated $50 or signed-up to work the Thomas the Train dates - July 24, 25, 26, 31 and August 1 and 2. Roaring Camp will be giving you a call prior to the event.
 
Janet gave the club the historical background of the Rotary Wheel.
 
Heather was the Detective. She stumped members with a question about WD40.
 
Guest Speaker: Bill Holl, Architect and CASp certified specialist, gave a presentation about accessibility requirements for public and private buildings. He encouraged business owners to have an inspection and address barriers in order to be in compliance with state and federal rules and to make life more mainstream for people with disablities.
 
The meeting was adjourned at 8:30. 
 
Our meeting on July 29 will include the anniversary celebration of Gil and Marge Gunn.
