Julie introduced our guests today, Chick (sister of Karen), Zoran Vujicic and Eric Hammer
7:35am Announcements and other Club Business
- Some RMF prep – Eric Hammer gave an over view of the traffic control duties and Ken reviewed the signups so far. After the meeting we made a couple changes and got most of the rest of the confirmations into the system. Janet gave Ken the vests with the Rotary wheel sewed on.

- Karen will present the 3 Rotary scholarships at the SLV Awards night Thursday.

7:55am Speaker Pravin Patel, Brookdale Lodge
- Pravin Patel, the owner of the Brookdale Lodge is a long time resident of the county. He owns other hotels in Watsonville and Santa Cruz both. The previous owner “took” the name Brookdale Lodge, it’s now the Brookdale Spa, Pravin speculates he will be offered the name back for a price in the future! All the motel rooms are being renovated, fixing numerous safety issues, the store will be re-opened, also the café and night club. The vintage Brook Room and the original Redwood Room will come later, along with the pool.
