- Ken called the meeting to order, Mary led the pledge of allegiance, Joe had the thought/quote of the day.
7:35am Announcements & Club Business
- Ken presented the calendar summary for the months of December and January. It is posted in the Download documents link at the lower right of the home page.
- Ken also presented the revised Meeting Duty Roster for the remainder of the Rotary Year.
- Gil announced that our own Ron Sekkel and Cindy Sekkel would come to the Christmas Luncheon next week.
- Cameron sported this week’s Ugly Christmas Sweater – here he is:

- Carol raised some more funds for the club as detective with Christmas as the theme.
7:50am Club Assembly Meeting
- Today was election day for the club according to our newly adopted Bylaws. With 100% voter turnout (those attending) the results were unanimous for: Mike Holton, President-Elect 2015-2016; Julie Haff, Secretary-Elect 2015-2016; Thomas Wynn Treasurer-Elect 2015-2016; Ken Macy Vice-President (Past-President) 2015-2016; Steve Lanctot Officer-at-Large 2015-2016; Karen McNamara, President-Elect Nominee 2016-2017. Thanks to all who are willing to execute these offices for the club!
- Janet Coit went over planning for the next RYLA; also the Interact Presidents Retreat, similar to RYLA but 2 days rather than 3. The club voted to continue to support 3 RYLA campers and add support for 2 Interactors to go to the Presidents Retreat.
- Mike led the group in discussing the speech contest coming in the spring. Judges will be Charlie, Ken & Karen; Carol will be timer; and Heather and Julie will serve as tellers. Our contest will be held January 28. The Area 7 contest will be March 2 at 6pm at the Scotts Valley Library. Carol will work on recruiting Jeff Almquist as a judge for that one.
- The club unanimously adopted a minor revision in the bylaws clarifying terminology around elections.
- Rotary International president Huang has proposed clubs to hold a Rotary Day event. Members were asked to mull this over and we’ll come back to this topic.
