- Ken called the meeting to order. Charlie led the Pledge of Allegiance, Janet stated the thought of the day, Joe introduced our guests for today: speaker Will Guilford.
7:35am Announcements & Club Business
- Ken announced that Jon Winston was planning another Rotary Day at the Warriors event and Thomas agreed to lead this for the club.
- Ken also provided an updated calendar summary for November and December.
- Carol announced that there are still several members who haven’t paid their pledges and we need 100% participation, there are just a few weeks to make our 100% goal.
- Mike announced that there is now an opening in the Grey Bears Brown Bag program, a driver is needed for the San Lorenzo Valley, please see Mike to take advantage of this opportunity.
- Janet got some commitments to chaperone Interacters in the fire hydrant painting project. Also reminded the club of the pot-luck dinner hosted by Interact at Joe and Linda’s home next Wednesday evening, 11/5.
- Ken and Heather will deliver the 300 white boards to Jeff Calden, SLVMS principal to wrap up the 2014 President’s Project of school supply donations to our local schools.
7:40am Detective Report & Happy Bucks
- Joe substituted for Linda in the detective report today, imposing lots of fines on members for the costumes they wore for past Halloweens.
7:50 am Program
- Today’s speaker is Will Guilford, Artistic Director for SLV High School and Middle School. He is best known for musicals. He does this during the school year and continues over the summer the very popular Hooked on Theater program for kids who just can’t get enough!
