  • Following adjournment today, the Board will meet with Ed across the street in the upstairs conference room
  • Ken reminded the group of the MCR Phoneathon, coming 2/19, 2/22.  Please see Janet in you can volunteer for this.
  • Heather presented DG Ed with samples of the school psupplies that we recently donated the SLV Middle School (300 white board and pens).

  • The group and Ed recognized double sustainer Foundation Donors: Don, Linda, Julie, Mary, Cameron, Mike, Ken, Karen, and Carol.
  • Ken recognized Gil as the club’s Sergeant-at-Arms with a special Rotary “sheriff’s” badge.  We also paid long overdue recognition to Gil as Rotarian of the Year.
  • Finally Ken recognized Joe Busa, Founder as Rotarian of the Year.
  • Then all the A’s fans in the room stood in solidarity with Ed reaffirming their support of that baseball team!

  • Ken introduced Cheryl who gave the full introduction of District Governor Ed Jellen.

  • Ed addressed the group with three stories giving a personal perspective on his involvement with Rotary.  He recognized several of the club’s local and international projects, including “Beca”, volunteer traffic controlling at the annual Redwood Mountain Faire, the fourth grade dictionary project SLV High School Scholarships, RYLA camper sponsorships and the innovative project with the BC Fire Department and the Interact Club in painting all 409 fire hydrants in the district!
