Our Community Projects
For such a small club, we lead or participate in or fund a variety of projects in the Rotary Avenues of Service categories. Here is the list updated 9/15/2017:
Past Projects
- Painted all fire hydrants in the BCFD (409) 2014-15
- Felton Community Center cleanup
- New Rotary Welcome signs
- Safeway/Valley Churches Food Drive with Scotts Valley Rotary
- Fund collection for benefit of former member stricken with cancer
- Phone-A-Thon to benefit Mountain Community Resources
- Support of Governor’s Project to ship wheelchairs to Mexico
- Stop Hunger Now event with Area 7 and District 5170

- Dictionaries to all 4th graders in SLVUSD
- Scholarships for SLVHS grads
- Sponsorship of Interact Club at SLVHS

- Christmas shopping event for 5 needy kids with Interact Club
- Provided defibrillators for SLV schools – community training in progress
- Park Hall cleanup
- Welcome breakfast for new teachers in SLVUSD

- District Designated Funds donated to Comunidad to support health/education for indigenous tribes in Ensenada
