Community Service

 Every day, Rotary clubs are making an impact in their communities around the world. The Community Service  Avenue of Service encourages every Rotarian to find ways to improve the quality of life for people in their communities and to serve the public interest.  In particular, the Rotary Club of Morgan Hill looks for opportunities  in the following focus areas;

  • Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
  • Disease prevention and treatment
  • Water and sanitation
  • Maternal and child health
  • Basic education and literacy
  • Economic and community development
This year, our club will be contributing $100,000 to the funding of the Morgan Hill Downtown Parks project, which will help to fund construction of two slides and a pedestrian bridge that will be used by generations to come.

Some examples of previous Community Services Projects that the Rotary Club of Morgan Hill have completed included:

  • Purchase and install tables & benches at Harvey Bear County Park.
  • Partner with area Rotary Clubs to make improvements to Chamberlain Children Center.
  • Partner with Specialized Bike and Morgan Hill Police to implement annual BikeFest bicycle safety fair.
  • Holiday party for El Toro Youth Club.
