PART OF THE WIND, SAND, (CYBER), SEA, AND STARS SERIES Are we still the world’s preeminent space power? Does it matter? If not, why not? Is America beginning a New Age in space exploration? The Obama administration has altered the course of the American Space Program, and Americans look optimistically, yet reservedly, at this new change in direction. This discussion will look at America’s space program within the context of today’s volatile economic and political environments. We will discuss, examine and explore this strategic asset and symbol of America’s technological, economic, and military prowess. The election year of 2014 promises many challenges to America’s global leadership in space. Are we in another “Space Race”, “Cold War”, or “Great Game”? What about the Chinese, Russian, Indian, and European,(et al.) space programs? Come join the discussion, be part of the process, and make a difference in 2014 |
