MEETING ANNOUCEMENT – C.V. ROTARY RACIAL DISCRIMINATIN FORUM MEETING #16 – TUESDAY NOVEMBER 9 6:00 – 7:15 VIA ZOOM

The Castro Valley Rotary Racial Discrimination Forum is an ad hoc group of Castro Valley Rotarians and invited guests that meet monthly to the discuss racial discrimination of Black Men and Women in our community. There are about 30 of us of all ages, genders, and race. The group is growing. The Forum was formed at the time of the George Floyd murder and the Black Lives Matter Movement. We have had 15 meetings so far, meeting #16 is scheduled for Tuesday November 9 from 6:00 to 7:15 via Zoom.  The Forum provides a safe space for open, honest discussion of the problem of racial discrimination of Black Men and Women. We watch videos, share personal situations, maintain a library of reference materials, and have speakers. We try to educate ourselves on systemic racism in our country and community, understand implicit bias, and learn real life tools that we can use when we encounter racial discrimination of Black Men and Women in our everyday life.

Our Motto: We want to be part of the solution to Racial Discrimination rather than part of the problem: Silence is not an option.

We welcome you to attend one of our meetings, even if just to listen and see what the Forum is all about.  There is no requirement to prepare or participate.

The Zoom invite for the next meeting is CV Rotary Racial Discrimination Forum Meeting No. 16 is https://us02web.zoom.us/j/84183516981?pwd=L1VXc1pXTE8xMGJEL1poQzZmbkczZz09.
