Linton Johnson, Castro Valley Rotarian, will describe cryptocurrencies, a growing facet of the business world.

Linton Johnson is the founder of Ovis and the Chief Visionary Officer. He’s also an award-winning journalist and communications executive as well as an entrepreneur with a passion for computer technology, people and planes. Johnson has spent the last 17 years at the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART) - the largest transit system west of the Mississippi. In 2011, the General Manager appointed Johnson to serve as the Strategic Programs Manager in the Office of External Affairs - Executive Office. His primary responsibilities include developing and implementing large scale communications strategies for major district programs. Prior to his appointment, Johnson served as the Chief of Communications and BART's first African-American and first openly-gay spokesperson in the agency's history. Before joining BART, Johnson spent more than 16 years as an award-winning primetime anchor, investigative reporter/producer, and writer for NBC and ABC affiliates as well as a radio personality popular stations in Arizona and France. Johnson graduated with a B.A. in journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism, which is the nation’s top journalism school.
