Though we have all heard of and driven by many American Legion posts, you may not realize that it was incorporated by Congress in 1919 after the Great War as a way to help veterans through "mutual helpfulness."  They do many services here in town, I know they sponsor the local cub scout pack, and as a Den leader I am very thankful for that.  

 

So it is with great pleasure that I welcome Mike Ackerman to Rotary this Thursday to tell us more about what the Legion does in Dassel and Cokato.  

 

Did I mention they sponsored the cub scouts?
