One of the things told to me when I moved to Cokato years ago was this was a caring community.  Different examples were given, Rotary, Lions, Community chest and others.  Then they told me about all of the services for people we have such as the villiage ranch and the AME houses.  It made an impression on me and I decided to live here (and even join rotary).  It just so happens that one of the founders of these services is joining us tomorrow.  Marty McGraw is joining us so I hope you do to.

Here is a brief bio so you can be a little informed before tomorrow.  AME Community Services, Inc. is an agency started in Cokato in 1992 which provides support to children and adults with developmental disabilities. AME currently employs 175 individuals providing support to 86 people in Wright, Hennepin and Ramsey County in one of their 20 homes or in the child's family home. AME Community Services, Inc. is a national and state leader in providing support to people with Prader-Willi Syndrome, a rare complex genetic syndrome which among other issues involves an insatiable appetite and developmental delays. The founder Marty McGraw has provided support to people with disabilities in Cokato since 1974.
