This is the last rotary meeting before the school year starts.  That of course means we are looking for people to help with Red Rooster days, but more than that it means that we have that moment of panic wondering if we did everything we wanted to on summer vacation.  I know few of us receive summer vacation, however leftover from my childhood I feel like summers should be a time when I get in squirt gun fights, blow bubbles, run through the grass barefoot, and walk through the woods writing poetry.  But did I this summer?  No*--so the question that confronts me is why didn't I?

Well we are lucky enough to have Bergen Nelson a recent Philosophy and English Major who graduated from St. Olaf College and is currently working at the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Cokato!  (How did he get talked into doing this?...I know his boss).  He will speak to us about why poetry moves the soul and why we so seldom craft our own.  Be prepared to be creative and have your soul moved.

See you tomorrow at Noon!

*well actually I did all of them but the poetry.
