You and a guest are invited to the pinnacle event of our STRIVE program - the annual Banquet and Awards program. Keynote speaker this year is Mike Ackerman. Mike has spent his adult lifetime serving the Cokato community in many different areas and most recently was recognized for his efforts with the 2017 Citizen of the Year award. He has a great message for all of us to keep fighting, even when others say "I don't think you're gonna make it here." Mike is an entertaining speaker will do a great job. The students will read their personal statements, which will be the first time many of them have publicly addressed a group of that size. Their parents are also invited and it is an opportunity to celebrate the successes of the past year. The event is much more meaningful when we have a nice group of Rotarians attending. As a club, we invest more time and money into this program than any other project. Let's celebrate our good work. Monday, April 30 - 6:00 PM at the Dassel History Center. Dinner will be served right away and the program will follow. Please RSVP so Mary knows how many people to plan for. As always, spouses or another guest are highly encouraged to attend. We will need some help setting up, serving the meal, and cleaning up afterwards. Stay tuned to sign up for a time to help out. We would like to give a small memento as a memory of this year and the STRIVE program. If anyone has any suggestions for a small gift, I would welcome those! Let Andy know if you have any questions or suggestions. 701-371-3151 or bohnsack.andrew@gmail.com Thank you for supporting these students and their accomplishments! |

Join us for the annual President's Party as we celebrate a great year of service from our outgoing president, Jake Linder. Bring your spouse, this is always a popular event with great attendance. Steve and Diane Hanson have been gracious enough to host the party at their home on the shores of beautiful Long Lake, just north of Dassel about 1 mile. We will share drinks and some food, as well as a short program for Jake to impart his presidential wisdom on those willing to listen! Bring a dish to share, but we will supply most of the drinks - so make your requests early if you require anything in particular. Hope to see you at the President's Party July 12 at Steve and Diane Hanson's home - from Hwy 12 in Dassel, take county road 4 north for 1.2 miles, take a right on 243rd st, follow to the bottom of the hill, and you'll see Hanson's driveway just to the right of the T intersection. 24360 726th st.

Batter Up, Let's Play Ball! Please join us for a beautiful summer evening of baseball and fun at Saints Field in Dassel. The Dassel-Cokato Saints will take on North Star League rival Delano Athletics with first pitch slated for 7:30 PM. Wear your Rotary T Shirt and help us promote the club with prizes and giveaways, fun games on the field, and of course we will sing "Take Me Out to the Ballgame" during the 7th inning stretch. Most of all, this is a great community event where people gather to talk and laugh and enjoy a nice summer evening. We need some help registering the attendees to win prizes and Rotary T shirts. All kinds of concessions are available at the game, the promo for the night is $1 hot dogs. The Cokato Dassel Lions will be selling beer as they do for each game. Bring a few friends and we'll see you at the park! |

Sep 20, 2018 5:30 PM - 7:00 PM
In place of our regualr noon meeting at City Hall, we will be gathering at Bait & Hook in Cokato at 5:30pm. This evening is meant to have the club gather in more of a social setting and also provide an opportunity to show others in the community what Rotary is about. Lunch meetings aren't always the most convenient for others schedules who may be interested in learnign more about what we do, this can be a great opportunity to bring along a connection you have to elighten them about what we do in Rotary after the busy work day hours. And most importantly, show the community that we have FUN in this club. Its a meeting geared more towards building relationships and having a great evening out in the community with fellow club members. |
