Spanish Villa Raffle Winner To Take Sentimental Jo

It will be a real sentimental journey for Maggie Legum. Maggie (front right) was the grand-prize winner of the raffle at the Club's April 24 Wine Tasting Gala, entitling her to one week at the Spanish villa of Glenn and Ann Rounsevell.

A neighbor of Brian Mansir and Catherine Ahearn (who sold her the winning ticket), Maggie studied in Spain as a child with her family and has never had an opportunity to return for a visit. Until now, that is. Catherine reports that Maggie is very excited to share this vacation with her husband and children. The prize also includes $1,000 toward airfare. Tysons Corner Rotarians sold a record 343 tickets for the villa raffle. Event chairs Ingrid Parris-Hicklin and Catherine Ahearn will have preliminary financial results from the wine tasting and raffle in the next few days.
