The Helping Hand Fund of the Rotary Club of Wethersfield/Rocky Hill, Inc. awards a limited number of scholarships each year to students residing in Wethersfield or Rocky Hill.  We anticipate awarding scholarships in the amount of $4,000 per year for up to four years.  Renewable annually. The scholarships are designed primarily to help students with limited financial resources continue their education beyond high school.  In addition to financial need, a student’s academic record, character, extra-curricular activities and community involvement are also considered.

To be considered for a personal interview with members of the Scholarship Committee, each applicant must:

  1. Complete the application and sign where indicated.
  2. Discuss the application with parent(s) or guardian(s) and have them sign the application.
  3. Applications and all required attachments must be received by April 15th.

Applications and information on the scholarships can be found at www.helpinghandfund.net.

Tonight we greeted four of our six Helping Hand scholarship winners along with their parents.  Joining us were Michelino Gali who will be attending the University of Connecticut this fall, Hunter Held who is off to Southern Connecticut State University, Marissa Landry who will be attending Assumption College, and Bailey OÇonnell who plans to attend Nichols College.  Missing the dinner were Erin Kelly who is going to Bentley University and Matthew Jablonka attending UCONN.
