The scope of Rotary travels far across the globe, as over 1.2 million Rotarians are spread across more than 200 countries and geographical areas of the world. There are over 34,000 Rotary clubs with members focused on providing clean water, sanitation, food to feed the hungry, healthcare for the needy and disabled and an opportunity for all children and adults to receive an education. Rotary is in more countries than the United Nations.

Rotary International's signature program is the eradication of polio from the face of this earth and we are almost there. The fight to end polio is led by the Global Polio Eradication Initiative, which includes Rotary International, UNICEF, the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization, the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and governments of the world, with the support of many others around the globe.

Several of our members have travelled to India and Nigeria on their own dime to personally immunize children against this dreadful disease, as well as others traveling on surgical and literacy missions. Check out some of our club's international projects.
