Local Canadian Veterans will be returning to Hazelton Place this year for the Rotary Veterans' Remembrance Day Luncheon. This event is important since it provides an opportunity to personally thank these veterans for their contribution while remembering their fallen comrades. You are invited to participate.
Guest speaker and author Terry Reardon will give a presentation on:
“Winston Churchill and Mackenzie King: So Similar, So Different" with a focus on Canada’s role in WWII.
Mr. Reardon was interviewed twice last year on the TVO Agenda program by Steve Paikin and is a popular speaker in the Toronto area.
A number of short Remembrance Day videos are also included in the program. Members and guests will also have the opportunity to stand individually and recall names of family members and others who served Canada.
If you know of local Veterans or others who may be interested in attending, please contact us as soon as possible to make the necessary arrangements! All Canadian Veterans are included: WWII Veterans, Korean War Veterans, Peace Keepers and veterans of more recent conflicts.
