The Tote Bag Membership Bag Project is a pet project from President Bob from the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor North for 2022-2023.
Rotary Clubs will be going to Farmer Markets in the area, using a display table we will give out free Rotary Bags to customers to use while they shop the Market. In the bags will have Rotary Club and Rotary information telling customers about Rotary.
The projects objectives are:
-
To promote the use of these environmentally sustainable, reusable, tote bags during and after the transition away from single use plastic bags that will be taking place at various retail establishments in the near future.
-
To achieve wide distribution of these bags at no charge to the general public.
-
To facilitate purchases at the Farmers’ Market by providing shoppers with bags that are ideal for containing the produce, flowers, and other goods that are sold at the Farmers’ Market (i.e. the bags have rigid plastic inside their bottoms).
-
To get the word out about Rotary and the many kinds of community service projects that we engage in.
-
To attract new club members from a diverse community of adults of various ages.
