Here's a brief status update as of March 18:

Sponsorship: $6,500.  Heartfelt thanks to returning sponsor Ann Arbor West as they join Jeff Crause of Edward Jones, Abbey Park at Mill River, Gordon and Virginia Nordby and Rick Jarzembowski as sponsors for 2015.

Invitations are in the mail - it's not too late to commit to sponsorship!  Here are the sponsorship levels:

Gold Sponsor: $1,500 - Name or logo in printed programs and all event signage. Recognition at the event, tickets for six.
Silver Sponsor: $1,000 - Name or logo in printed programs and all event signage. Recognition at the event, tickets for four.
Bronze Sponsor: $500 - Name or logo in printed programs and all event signage, tickets for two.

Pick-Your-Prize: We are currently recruiting for prizes. Your support here would be greatly appreciated!  Please contact Peg Windsor or Brigitte Romero if you have a prize to add to our Pick Your Prize table. ALSO - we are in need of a chair for this area. Peggy and Brigitte have graciously volunteered to assist with this portion of the evening but a lead person to coordinate all of the details would be appreciated.

The committee meets again on Wednesday, March 25 at 6:00 pm at the Applebee's on Green Road. Please remember that we're opening up the committee to friends and family who like to plan parties. So that I can plan for your attendance, please email tamra.ward1@gmail.com
HERE IS A CHANCE TO AUCTION YOUR TALENT!

The Rotary Club of Ann Arbor North is asking for your participation in our Lost in Space FUNdraising event on Saturday March 28, 2015, and this is your chance to make a difference. This fun-filled evening will feature a silent auction to benefit the various organizations that Rotary supports all year around.

HERE’S WHERE YOU COME IN:
Do you or someone you know have a special talent or service that you could donate
to this important fundraiser? Below are some donation ideas:

Donate items or gifts you may have, gift certificates
Create a Lost in Space theme basket together with a couple of people
Donate a weekend in a cottage, vacation home, hotel or timeshare that you or someone owns
Offer a ride on your family boat for a couple of hours (with you at the wheel of course!)
An airplane ride
Give a couple of hours of tutoring, tax preparation or consulting services,
A private cooking lesson or gourmet dinner
Are you a photographer? What about donating a photo session?
A couple of hours of gardening or consultation time for landscaping ideas
Providing a couple of hours of interior design expertise
Giving a personal training, fitness or massage session
Offering hair or nail care
Do you have concert tickets available to donate?
Sport Memorabilia, Author-signed book

If you are interested in participating in this silent auction, contact Brigitte Romero at Brigitte.romero@sbcglobal.net or by phone at (734) 277-0745. Make sure you describe your donation and provide its estimated value. You can also return this form to any member of the Rotary Club who will forward it to Brigitte.

DEADLINE to give your donations: MARCH 21, 2015!
Thank you very much for your support and we’ll see you on March 28!
Are you planning to invite guests to this year's FUNdraising dinner/dance? If so, have you made reservations for your group? At this point, we have heard from several members that they intend to bring guests but only 48 dinners have been reserved.  Since planning for 50 and planning for 200 are two entirely different processes, PLEASE take a moment and email Lisa Hudy at lhudy@twmi.rr.com

Also, in case you have forgotten, the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor North is a service organization and as a member of our club, you have a full service correspondence secretary at your disposal for the next 104 days.

We would love to invite your friends, family, business associates, neighbors and those people you met at last year's Comic-Con convention to this year's Lost in Space FUNdraiser on March 28. We have made this very easy.  Just click on this email address tamra.ward1@gmail.com and your clerical assistant will address, stamp and deliver an invitation to the local US Post Office.  It's that simple!

We also have a .pdf version of the invitation available to send to your friends.  To request a copy, please click on this email tamra.ward1@gmail.com which is the same address but reprinted here for your convenience because we're helpful that way.
We're all carrying little blue tickets for the annual raffle held in conjunction with YOUR FUNdraiser on March 28th at the Holiday Inn. We have 300 tickets to sell and as of this date, here is our progress:

300 Tickets
114 sold as of 3/17/2015

38 % of goal - 186 tickets left to sell
You are cordially invited to a very special event honoring the District's newest Major Donor, Bruce Dunbar from the Rotary Club of Ann Arbor West.  The program will take place on Monday, March 23 at 6:15 at the Quarter Bistro in Ann Arbor.

In addition to the donor presentation, the West Rotarians have also planned a dynamic Foundation presentation that will showcase the application of Foundation grants locally and globally. If you are considering joining the ranks of fellow Rotarians who have made the commitment to become major donors, would like to know more about the opportunity or would like to introduce a friend or family member to the idea, we hope that you will join us for this evening.  For more information, please contact Ann Arbor West President Raj Bazaj at rbazaj@gmail.com.
