Washtenaw County Right to Life (WCoRTL) is a non-profit organization that seeks to protect the precious gift of human life from fertilization to natural death. WCoRTL is an affiliate of Right to Life of Michigan. Our group is comprised of volunteers from various social, political, religious, ethnic, and economic backgrounds.
We are convinced that death is not a solution to suffering or hardship. We work on behalf of defenseless and/or vulnerable human beings born and unborn, within our identified life issues of abortion, infanticide, euthanasia, assisted suicide, embryonic stem cell research and cloning.
We educate people about pro-life issues and motivate them to action. We encourage community support for and participation in programs and legislation that foster respect and protection for humanlife. We promote and support pro-life candidates. We provide educational materials and programs which factually depict the growth and development of the unborn child. We assist crisis pregnancy centers that provide abortion alternatives.
We work peacefully to advance our identified life issues. We oppose illegal and violent means to achieve our goals. To counter violence with violence is against our principles.
