Volunteer at Dorothy Rider Pool Wildlife Sanctuary

Helping our Friends at the WIldlands Conservancy! Saturday 11.11.23

The Wildlands Conservancy is in a pinch and throwing every volunteer they can get at the last few projects of the season! They need reinforcements to wrap up some projects at the Dorothy Rider Pool Sanctuary.

The list of current projects they are trying to wrap up is: 
-The barn is in mid paint and needs to be prime red before winter. *This requires some ladder work.
-The fence around the barn/pond area needs some repair and to be stained/sealed. This will be the area of focus first.
-If those projects get finished, then planting in the floodplain in front of the fence is the final priority.

Volunteers will meet at 8am to start breaking into groups for various tasks.  Meet at 3701 Orchid Place, Emmaus PA 18049
Please dress for cool weather. Bring work gloves. Wear sturdy shoes. If you have a shovel please bring it. We will have extra work gloves and shovels available. We will also have refreshements for our volunteers. Volunteers will be emailed additional helpful details prior to 11.11.23.
