Little Lehigh Spring Creek Clean Up! Rain or Shine

Emmaus Rotary is joining our friends at Rising River Brewing Co. for Riverside Volunteer Day!  

The group will park and meet at  Rising River Brewing Co. at 1955 Willow Lane, Macungie, PA 18062
Riverside volunteers will gather and clean up the yearly flood debris and trash in the woods and riverbank starting at Rising River Brewing and public areas surrounding the property! Lower Macungie Township will pick up all the debris on Monday. Last year Riverside Volunteers filled two pickup trucks! 

This will be a physical and messy task! Helpers can walk the creek banks with trash bags to collect trash and debris. If possible we ask those with waders to help with trash and debris removal in the water way to help clear creek flow blockages that contribute to flooding issues. 
Wear heavy duty boots that can get wet and muddy and thick pants and shirts. There will be areas of brush and thicket.  Please wear thick work gloves. We will provide bright color vests to wear.  Please dress warmly if it is cold. 
Trash bags will be provided. Rain or shine!

Lunch (Pizza) provided to all volunteers courtesy of Rising River Brewing when we finish. Also, volunteers 21 and older can choose an 8oz cold beer OR soft drink of their choice. (after the work is done!) Volunteers under 21+ soft drink of their choice.
