Members also were able to enjoy listening to songs that brought the guitar to life.

At the June 15th meeting, Rotarians were treated to a unique, hands on presentation by Ted Brown of Blackwood Guitar company. Ted told the group about how he came to be in the guitar making business. He has created a custom shop located in Mallorytown that not only makes standard guitar models, but also custom-made guitars made to order. He told stories of how he goes about securing unique wood from across the globe to give his guitars a unique look and exceptional sound.
In addition to his shop, Ted has also established a successful guitar making business where he teaches others how to create their own instruments. Several sessions are run each year.
During the presentation, members were treated to a live performance and even Rotarian Mark Mazurek, a local musician himself, got in on the act.
Rotarian Ian Stephenson thanked Ted on behalf of the Club. The commemorative guest speaker book will be donated to the Pine View School Library on Ted's behalf.
